Audition Information

Below is some information that will be helpful when auditioning for The Shawnee Playhouse:

Submissions should be in by February 1st 2012 for New York auditions, professional hires and interns. These should include head shots and resumes. Please opt in to our audition notices to be kept up to date on location, time and dates of auditions, or check the audition page frequently.

We do hold auditions in New York and in Pennsylvania.

Please come prepared with a song, at least 16 bars, of your choice. We do not provide an accompanist, you can either sing a capella or with a cd (we do provide a cd player) Please make sure the cd has music only – no vocals. You do not have to sing a song from the show that you are auditioning from!

Please provide a head shot and resume if you have one. We usually take a photo for our own records, especially for children.

Children will be asked to audition without a parent present. Parents will be asked to wait in the holding room and will not be allowed to listen outside the audition room.

Booklets are available in the box office with pointers for young actors. Please feel free to stop in and ask for one.
