All is not as it seems when an idyllic community with a sinister secret must pay the price of perfection.  A diabolical melodrama from thrill-master Ira Levin. 
 
Med school graduate Jim Tennyson returns to his idyllic little hometown for a weekend visit with his mentor, Doc Cook, the town's beloved (and only) doctor.  Jim is now almost the equal of Dr. Cook in medical knowledge, but that might not be a good thing.  Every small town has its dirty little secrets, and as Jim uncovers them one by one he puts himself in increasing danger.  A thrilling mystery full of twists by Ira Levin, who also authored Rosemary's Baby, The Stepford Wives, and The Boys from Brazil.
