Northeast Ballet Ensemble  is a new dance company based at the School of Visual and Performing Arts on Main St. in Stroudsburg.  The company is directed by Diane Verdi.

Alessandra Torres Biography

They have performed in concerts at the school and on Telethons in the Poconos.

The repertory is varied – classical ballet, contemporary ballet, character, and modern dance. The company ranges in age and all are trained in multiple techniques of movement, And many of the of them have danced with various  companies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The ballets they will be performing at the Shawnee Playhouse will be a classical Viennese Waltz and Strauss march,  a beautiful Adagio,  a Spanish themed ballet, a rousing hillbilly to Cottoneye Joe, and a ballet to the beautiful music of Rachmaninoff.  All of the ballets are original choreography and have delighted audiences
